WesBell Speaker wire has one bare copper side and one tinned copper side to clearly designate the difference between each side. The PVC insulation is clear and the conductors are bonded together so that they can peel back during installations. Speaker wire is commonly used to wire digital audio and stereo speaker systems.
The PVC insulation enables a maximum temperature rating of 60 degrees Celsius. This speaker wire does not rate for high heat or in-wall applications. However, it is ideal for low voltage uses, like connecting home and automotive stereo speakers.
20/2 speaker wire is different from standard hookup wire because the flexible and resilient outer insulation makes this option much easier to install. The insulation also reduces potential interference from other electrical signals.

Our 20/2 speaker wire consists of one bare and one tinned copper strand, two bonded conductors and clear PVC insulation. The tinned strand provides extra resistance against corrosion, while the efficient 20-gauge construction makes it a cost-effective and easy-to-install option.
The higher the speaker wire gauge, the thinner its diameter. Thick wire, such as 12 or 14 gauge, works well for long wire runs, low-impedance speakers and high power applications. For short runs less than 25 feet, 20 gauge wire will perform well.
Our 20/2 speaker wire is RoHS compliant and UL approved.
