Welding Cable 500 MCM
$41.98 / ft.
WesBell Welding Cable is flexible and rated for 600 volts and 90C. It’s used as secondary voltage resistance welding leads and for power supply applications not exceeding 600 volts. It comes in black or red as standard colors AWGs 6 through 500 MCM.
The 500 MCM welding cable uses a finely stranded single conductor made of copper. This construction, paired with a rubber EPDM coating, makes this cable type flexible and versatile. As these characteristics allow for easy manipulation by a user, this cable is ideal for arc welding applications.

Before you commit to a cable for your machinery, it’s crucial to consider the electrical constraints and requirements for operation. You will want to confirm compatibility in the following areas:
- Current: How much amperage capacity does your machinery need? Ensure your cable matches or exceeds this number.
- Voltage: While ampacity describes the electrical current, voltage describes the electrical force. Exceeding your cable’s voltage rating can be unsafe, while staying too far below the optimal voltage can lower efficiency. The 500 MCM has a voltage rating of 600.
- Environment: While electrical constraints are vital to the operation of your equipment, considering the environment is just as crucial. If your cable has to operate in harsh conditions and survive exposure to heat, moisture and other harmful materials, it needs a strong coating. The rubber EPDM coating on the 500 MCM welding cable is resistant to heat and abrasion.
