WesBell’s SJOOW cable has oil-resistant conductors and jacketing. The jacketing is also water-resistant, though not submersible. This cable can also resist sunlight and oil. The SJOOW cable is rated for 300 volts while SOOW is rated for 600 volts, allowing you to select the option that fits your application without paying for more power or expensive components.
Multiconductor portable cord or service cord is used for portable applications that require power. You could use SJOOW cable similar to an extension cord in order to provide current to power tools and equipment. Small motors, portable appliances and small equipment can all make use of the cable’s rugged design.
Specifications
This cable uses bare copper and a chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) jacket that offers the resistance mentioned above. An American Wire Gauge (AWG) of 14, combined with two conductors and 41 strandings, makes for a strong yet flexible design. There is no grounding wire, but this cable can support 18 amps. Its outer diameter is .34 square millimeters, and it has a temperature rating of 90 degrees Celsius for reliable functioning even in hot environments.
