The MC 8/3 cable is made with a soft annealed copper that is more conductive and flexible while resisting atmospheric corrosion. The stranding improves its flexibility and electrical conductivity. WesBell MC cable comprises multiple THHN wires, including a green THHN wire used as a ground. THHN insulation allows the wire to resist oil, gas and flames, along with high temperatures and wet conditions. Interlocking aluminum tape armor covers the THHN insulation, mechanically protecting the cable inside and eliminating the need for an extra conduit or inner duct.
This cable is heavy-duty and can withstand up to 600 volts of electrical charge and 90 C in dry locations. Our stranded copper 8/3 metal clad cable is lightweight, which makes its installation simple and its price economical compared to similar cables.

For underground applications, however, you will need additional protection for this cable.
