The WesBell THHN wire features Thermoplastic High Heat Nylon (THHN) wire with an inner core of bare copper strands. It’s often used as machine tool wire and appliance wire as specified with the NEC. This THHN wire — also rated for THWN-2 — supports power up to 600 volts and temperatures up to 90°C. Per TEWN, you can use it in wet or dry locations.

THHN 2 AWG Stranded Copper Construction
WesBell THHN 2 AWG wire is one of our many stranded copper products suitable for lead wires and hookups. Our construction offers a bare copper core with one conductor and size 19 stranding surrounded by a layer of PVC insulation and a durable nylon sheath. Use it for general purpose applications in residential, industrial and commercial runs indoors or out.
This wire comes in a traditional black color and handles up to 130 amperes. It also meets AWN, FT1, REACH, RoHS and MTW guidelines and complies with UL1063, UL1581, UL83 and VW-1 standards. The assembly qualifies as thermoplastic flexible fixture nylon (TFFN) and meets THWN-2 criteria for water and heat resistance.
