MC 6/2 Cable, Stranded Copper
$3.92 / ft.
WesBell MC (Metal Clad) cable is comprised of multiple thermoplastic high heat-resistance nylon (THHN) wires including a green THHN wire used as a ground. Since all of the conductors are insulated with THHN, the cable can be used outdoors and in conduit. MC cable also has an aluminum metal clad jacket that acts as a conduit for indoor applications requiring much less effort to install.

Our MC 6/2 cable has a stranded, solid copper conductor with superior electrical properties. The stranding enables the cable to carry more current while enhancing its flexibility. The THHN makes this cable resistant to excessive dryness, corrosion and high chemical impact.
Applications
The MC 6/2 cable works with power lines that do not exceed 600 volts. It has an operational temperature rating of up to 90 degrees Celsius when installed in dry locations. The aluminum reinforcement and THHN insulation offer superior mechanical and temperature resistance.
The lightweight construction makes it a more cost-effective option than other labor-intensive piped-wire installations. With these features, this wiring works well for applications like:
- Branch feeder and service distribution.
- Concealed or exposed installations.
- Control and signal circuits.
- Environmental air-handling spaces.
- Fished or embedded in plaster.
- Outdoor applications.
- Power and lighting.
- Indoors without conduit.
- Underground in conduit.
MC 6/2 Cable Advantages and Benefits
This product represents a cost-effective alternative to conventional wire and pipe. These cables eliminate the need for electrical conduit and the installation labor that comes with it, offering you significant cost savings Applications with armored cable require fewer tools, limited pulling equipment and no specialty tools.
Additional advantages include:
- Armored cables provide durability and protection without needing electrical conduit, elbows, couplings or offsets.
- Aluminum armor resists corrosion, making it effective in areas with excessive moisture.
- Interlocked armor is flexible, ensuring impact won’t affect the inner conductors.
- Installation requires no specialty bending or cutting tools.
