The Alpha Wire 55060/12 is part of the Xtra-Guard line of cables, all of which are built for tough environments. It belongs to the Xtra-Guard 5 category, which offers excellent performance for:
- High temperatures.
- Low temperatures.
- Ultraviolet protection.
- Oil, water and chemical protection, including solvents, fuels and acids.
- Electromagnetic interference (EMI) with a Supra-Shield specification.
This cable also provides very good performance for abrasion and direct-burial application. It is not recommended for high or continuous flex uses. Many of these benefits stem from the 20 American Wire Guard (AWG) 12-conductor cable’s fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) insulation and jacketing, which offer exceptional performance even in temperatures ranging from -80 to 200 degrees Celsius.
