Olflex® Cable is the leading manufacturer of flexible robotic cables. They design and manufacture cables that can move, twist and bend while machines or robots are running without lowering the lifespan of the cable. It’s not your average multiconductor cable used by homeowners! Olflex® 110, 190, 890 continuous flex cables are available for sale online at WesBell Electronics.
Lapp Group is a pioneer of flexible oil-resistant power and control cables. WesBell Electronics partners with this reputable manufacturer to supply Olflex® wiring at competitive prices and fulfill our commitment to keeping your production time and costs down.
What Is Olflex® Cable?
Olflex® power and control cables consist of fine copper strands and are used in various industry technologies, like control panels, data processing equipment and assembly lines. Olflex® products use UV-resistant, flexible PVC jacketing that’s been tested against industrial stressors like bending, crushing, moisture and oil exposure.
We stock Olflex® wiring in a range of AWG sizes and in both shielded and unshielded varieties. Each product is filled with non-absorbing stuffing and a dry lubricant.
Olflex® engineered their shielded CY series cables with a special tinned copper braid between its insulation and conduction, providing at least 85 percent coverage and enhancing EMI resistance. The shielding enables a higher minimum bend radius over its standard counterpart while incorporating the same stuffing and lubricant as the unshielded type.
WesBell Electronics can supply:
- Olflex® 110 and 110 CY series: Class 5 VDE 0295 stranding holds optimal voltages from 300 to 500 volts and conforms to CE & RoHS.
- Olflex® 190 and 190 CY series: Class 5 strands rated for 600V and exceptionally oil-resistant, passing critical tests like Oil Res I/II, UL AWM 2587 and 21098, and conforms to NFPA 79.
- Olflex® 890 and 890 CY series: Superior flexibility and applicability for the most demanding uses like automation, and consists of Class 6 conductor stranding.
Why Choose Olflex® Products?
Whether you select Olflex® cables for flexible or stationary purposes, you’re installing wiring from a renowned leader in electronics operation. Lapp North America’s products undergo rigorous temperature, flame and motion testing to ensure a longer lifespan during your production processes. Olflex® cabling is suited for electrical equipment in all dry or wet industrial environments.
Oil resistance is also a key performance parameter when specifying cables today. Whether used as a lubricant, coolant or both, oils contribute to degradation and damage to a cable’s polymer insulation and jacketing. Choosing superior oil-resistant cables can preserve your machinery’s function for longer and reduce the electrical hazards caused by oil attacks.
Several federal and industrial oil immersion tests were developed to certify a cable’s performance against deterioration. Some of the oil resistance tests to look for include:
- UL AWM 2587/21098.
- Oil Res I/II.
- CSA-AWM I/II.
- CSA 22.2 210.2.
- Section 8.8.8 and Section 7.6.12.1.
- Norma Official Mexicana.
