<< Hook Up Wire  << Value Added Services

WesBell Electronics, Inc has been soldering hook up wire for over 25 years. We became ISO 9001 Certified in order to improve our customer service and quality of product. We follow specification sheets (data sheets) to make sure the length is within tolerance, the parts are manufactured correctly and the revision level is up to date. Below are some of the recent projects we've soldered or added solder to.

Soldering Hook Up Wire

Soldering Hook Up Wire

Soldered Wire Assembly

This is a small wire assembly that we manufacture with two soldered ends. Each end of the lead wire is connected to a ring terminal by way of solder instead of crimp. A pull-test is still necessary for solder applications to be sure of a quality connection.

You may also notice the 2nd portion of ths wire assembly that doesn't include solder. There's a crimped terminal on both ends that doesn't require additional solder. The last step of this harness is to apply a tie wrap and a label with the customer part number.

Soldered Speaker Assembly

Soldered Speaker Assembly

This soldered speaker assembly has two lead wires connected to a plastic housing on one end and to a small speaker on the other end. The two lead wires are soldered to the speaker with a small dot of solder for each connection. We must be carefule to solder the red wire to the positive side of the speaker and the middle slot of the plastic house or else the connection will fail when the customer tries to connect it.

Soldered Thermistor Assembly

This soldered thermistor assembly is a 4 conductor cable that we cut to length, remove the outer jacket, remove the shield, tin dip and solder. The white and green wires are soldered together with a thermistor connecting them. All of the conductors that are stripped are also tin dipped to avoid the strands from fraying.

We manufacture a few assemblies with this cable for the same customer to help them save time with each project they're working on. We conduct monthly meeting to discuss current projects and how we can be of assistance through our value added services.

Soldered Filter Harness

Soldered Filter Harness

This soldered filter harness is soldered in four spots, covered with heat shrink tubing, hand crimped and inserted into plastic housing. Each wire needs to be cut and stripped to length. Once the copper strands are exposed we hand crimp terminals to the ends and place the tubing pieces over the wires to prepare for the soldering station. Once the solder joints are complete, we use a heat gun to apply enough heat to shrink the tubing over the solder joint. The end result is a clean looking wire assembly in the picture to the left.

Chicago Mini LED Wire Harness

Chicago Mini LED Wire Harness

This wire harness is manufactured with UL1007 24 AWG hook up wire, cut to 24 inches in length. The black and red wires both get connected to each side of the white plastic house seen in the middle of the bundle. Underneath the polyolefin tubing you'll see the wires soldered to both ends of a connector and the wires continue on to connect to the LED. Once our customer connects it to their application it will have a switch that can turn on the green bulb at the end of the harness.
