WesBell Electronics, Inc has been crimping terminals to hook up wire for over 25 years. We became ISO 9001 Certified in order to improve our customer service and quality of product. We follow specification sheets (data sheets) to make sure the length is within tolerance, the parts are manufactured correctly and the revision level is up to date. Below are some of the recent projects we've completed that require crimping terminals.
Crimped Ring Terminal
We cut, strip, tin and crimp this small wire harness on a regular basis using a wire cutting machine, a tin pot and a crimping hand tool.
First, we cut all of the lead wires to the exact length on our automated wire cutting machine. Then we dip one end into a tin pot, or solder pot, to avoid fraying of copper strands.
Finally, we crimp all of the ring terminals to the opposite end and send the final product through our quality control department. Any defective parts will be sent back to the manufacturing floor to be fixed.
Crimping Insulated Terminals
We cut, strip, tin and crimp this wire harness as well. We also keep a 2nd release on the shelf for a customer that orders these harnesses on a monthly basis.
Instead of building 1000 wire harnesses and shipping them all at once, this customer places a blanket order with monthly releases. The customer is invoiced after each shipment which helps their cash flow and it allows WesBell to plan our monthly production schedule ahead of time.
